Driver arrested for brandishing gun in Manatee County road rage incident

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (SNN TV) — A Riverview man was arrested after waving a firearm in a road rage incident, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said this happened Saturday on Interstate 75 at Mile Marker 228 in Manatee County following a “Be On the Lookout” notice due to a highway violence incident.

According to the driver of a Black Chevy Malibu, the driver of the Silver Infiniti SUV, 53-year-old Riverview resident Troy Kevin Luke, brandished a firearm in a threatening manner.

Troopers stopped Luke on southbound I-75, south of State Road 64.

Troopers found a firearm inside the Infiniti.

Luke was arrested for improper exhibition or brandishing of a firearm. He was booked into the Manatee County Jail.
