Shock polls shows Rishi Sunak’s Tory party could be reduced to just 98 MPs at general election

RISHI Sunak’s Tory party could be reduced to just 98 MPs at the general election, a shock poll suggests.

A survey of 15,000 people indicates the Conservative Party is on track for its worst result ever.

Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Party is on course for a 468 seat landslide, according to the Survation poll.

The forecast, for Best for Britain, puts Labour on 45 per cent and the Tories on just 26 per cent, losing all of their seats in Scotland and Wales.

And it even suggests the Prime Minister is at risk of losing his own seat to Labour, with his lead less than 2.5 percentage points.

And in further worrying news for the PM, it shows Reform UK’s support surging across the UK with the party set to come second in seven seats.

In a tiny glimmer of hope for the PM another poll showed voters think Tory rebels would be wrong to topple him before a general election.

A change of leader was opposed by 62 per cent, while just 38 per cent backed the move.

And among Conservative voters, 70 per cent say Mr Sunak should lead them into the election.

Tories are languishing 21 points behind Labour in their poll.

But think tank More in Common found the gap would narrow to 15 if Penny Mordaunt took over.
